Who handles your information

Automotive Hoist Solutions operates this website and handles the quote requests submitted here. Privacy requests can be sent to info@automotivehoistsol.co.za, or by post to 9 Impala Avenue, Kempton Park, Gauteng, 1619, South Africa.

Information we collect

The quote form asks for your name, email address, optional phone number and company, delivery town, product details, quantity and message. We do not ask for identity documents, bank passwords, payment-card details or one-time codes in this form.

WordPress, WooCommerce and our hosting systems may process cart/session data, account details if you create an account, browser/device information and technical logs. The form uses a short-lived, hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions. The current cart uses cookies and a session. Legacy shortlist data from earlier versions may remain on your device until cleared.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to prepare and discuss a quote, confirm suitability and delivery, keep a record of the conversation, prevent abuse and respond to support or privacy requests. Order information, when orders are accepted, is used for fulfilment, accounting and applicable legal obligations. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Where form requests go

Quote requests are stored privately in the website administration area for authorised AHS staff. The system also attempts an email notification to our business inbox. Email delivery depends on the site’s mail service. If your request is urgent, use the phone or WhatsApp contact options.

Hosting and technical service providers may process data needed to operate and secure the site. Relevant details may be shared with a courier, installer, supplier or payment provider where needed for your requested service, an agreed order or a legal obligation. We do not sell your contact details.

WhatsApp, email and payments

WhatsApp links open an external service operated under its own privacy terms. Product links may include a prepared message; you choose whether to send it. Email links open your email application. EFT / bank transfer is available for orders, using verified banking details supplied with the invoice. Payfast is not currently enabled. Do not send bank login credentials, PINs or one-time codes in an enquiry.

Retention and security

Access to stored quote requests is restricted to authorised administrators. We use HTTPS and reasonable access and validation controls, but no internet system can be guaranteed risk-free.

Quote records are reviewed for deletion when no longer required for the enquiry, an order, a dispute or a legal obligation. You may request deletion of an enquiry record. Accounting, order and legal records may need to be retained longer. Backups and technical records are handled through the hosting provider’s retention arrangements.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold, correction, deletion or restriction, or object to processing. We may need reasonable proof of identity before acting. You may also raise a privacy complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. We will explain if a legal requirement prevents us from fulfilling a request.
